Destiny 2 beta glitch could lead to Lost Sector on Nessus

Destiny 2 Lost Sector on Nessus

A newly discovered glitch in Destiny 2‘s beta is believed to lead to an unfinished area of the game.

While exploring the Inverted Spire Strike, Guardians and YouTuber StrandedKenni glitched into a hidden location. Online speculation believes it to be a “Lost Sector” on the planetoid Nessus.

Lost Sectors are new, secret dungeon-like areas accessible in Destiny 2’s Patrol mode, not currently available in the beta. The area in question can be found at the beginning of the Inverted Spire Strike. In the original Destiny, Strikes often included portions of the map available while on Patrol.

Right now there’s not a whole lot to see – just a lot of broken level geometry and half-finished platforms. It could, however, be a sign that there may be more to Destiny 2 and its beta than meets the eye.

The Destiny 2 beta is currently open to early access members right now (those who pre-ordered the game or received a code). The beta will open tot he general public on Friday, July 21st.

It’s pretty amazing that despite only being live for less 48 hours players are already discovering hidden locations and glitches. Of course, this is the Destiny community we’re talking about. If there’s anything we learned from the first game it’s that Guardians will always find a way.
